Mukesh Khanna Opens Up On Why Superhero Movie 'Shaktimaan' Production Getting Delayed

Mumbai, June 7 - In February last year, Sony Pictures India in association with Mukesh Khanna's Bheeshm International, and Brewing Thoughts Private Limited announced the cinematic adaptation of the popular Indian superhero show Shaktimaan. ## Sony Pictures announced the movie as a planned trilogy, but there hasn't been much development happened since the announcement. During this, the rumors have been making rounds that Ranveer Singh was approached to play the iconic role but there was no confirmation about the same after that. ## Mukesh Khanna, who played the titular role in the "Shaktimaan" tv series, has now opened up on why the production of the movie is getting delayed and when it will start rolling. Khanna confirmed that the contract between him and Sony Pictures has already been signed and plans are being made to start the production soon. ## "This is a big-scale project and each film in the trilogy would cost at least 200-300 crores in the making. This is not a small film, it is a massive film, and that takes time. A lot of things are happening, but I am not allowed to talk", Khanna said in a video on his YouTube Channel Bhishma International.## The actor-producer also revealed that he cannot make any appearance in Shaktimaan's get-up now as the makers of the movie don't want any comparison. Khanna, however, refused to reveal the actor who will play the role of "Shaktimaan" but promised that the cast will be revealed soon. ## It has been also reported that Malayalam filmmaker Basil Joseph has been approached to direct the film with Ranveer Singh being the front-runner to headline it. Mumbai, June 6 - After a very good hold on Monday, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke remains rock solid with a minimal drop from yesterday's collection which has confirmed the movie's hit status. ## As per the early estimates, ZHZB scored around 4 crores net on its first Tuesday. This takes the total collection to over 30.50 crores net in 5 days. The drop from yesterday is around 5% which is excellent trending. ## The movie got the benefit of the offer in the opening weekend, and once the offer was ended, it was all about holding well on Monday and then sustaining throughout the first week. With mixed to positive word of mouth by its side, ZHZB is doing well in UP and MP as it has a local flavor. ## The first full-week collection is expected to be over 36 crores net and then, the movie has a shot at crossing 50 crores net during the second weekend. Adipurush Telugu States Pre-Release Business and Break-Even Details Locked

Hyderabad, June 6 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted highly-awaited Adipurush is getting ready to release in theaters on June 16. The movie is having a huge buzz and curiosity among the fans and general audiences or even the trade that is hopeful of massive returns. ## With just 10 days to go for the release, the makers are getting big offers from distributors to grab the theatrical rights. Since Prabhas is playing the lead role, the distributors from Telugu states have thrown huge money for theatrical rights. ## According to Telugu media reports, People Media Factory acquired the Telugu states theatrical rights of the film for a whopping approx. 120 crore, according to T2BLive. People Meda Factory sold the Nizam area rights to Mythri Movie Makers for approx. 50 crores. The pre-release business in the 6 territories of Andhra Pradesh has been locked at approx. 52 crores. ## The Ceeded area rights have been sealed at approx. 18 crores as the overall business of the movie in AP-TG is approx. 120 crores. This is the 4th highest AP-TG business of all time, after "RRR" (191 Cr), "Baahubali 2" (122 Cr), and "Saaho" (121.60 Cr). "Adipurush" will need to score 121 crores share collection and approx. 200 crores gross collection in order to break even and emerge as a clean hit in the two Telugu states.## According to recent reports, the budget of "Adipurush" is around 500 crores and the makers have already recovered around 430 crores. The number might reach 6 crores net which remains to see. ## Considering the low pre-release buzz, the opening of 5.50-6 crores can be termed very good for a movie featuring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. 'Adipurush' Telugu States Theatrical Rights Get Sold At Whopping Price

Hyderabad, May 28 - Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush" is getting ready to release on June 16 this year amid huge anticipation among fans and trade. The epic drama is expected to be a money spinner for the makers and if reports are to be believed, the Telugu states theatrical rights are already get sold. ## Producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory acquired the Telugu states theatrical rights of "Adipurush" for 185 crores, including GST. ## The producer officially confirmed the aforementioned price in a recent interview with Mirchi9 and said that they will also be buying Prabhas' "Spirit" which will be produced by T-Series and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.## "Adipurush" has been able to generate huge buzz after the unanimously positive response to the trailers and songs. Mumbai, May 27 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-awaited social comedy-drama film OMG - Oh My God! - 2 will be released in theaters, contrary to rumors about the direct-to-digital release. ## Directed by Amit Rai, the movie is a spiritual sequel to "OMG – Oh My God! (2012) and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam. The movie has been in production since 2021. The movie was supposed to release in cinemas last year, however, due to the delay in the shoot, the makers postponed the release indefinitely. ## It was recently reported that the movie has opted for a direct OTT release, however, the makers never confirmed the same. Box Office: The Kerala Story Scored Fantastic Third Week Domestically

Mumbai, May 26 - Director Sudipto Sen's blockbuster The Kerala Story continues to make money at the box office after putting up a solid third-week collection. During its 3rd week, the movie also crossed the 200 crores net mark and became only the second Bollywood movie of the year to do so. ## The Adah Sharma-fronted movie scored approx. 41.50 crores net collection (-54.21% from the second week), which is the 6th biggest third-week total for a Bollywood movie of all time. This pushed the total net collection of "The Kerala Story" to over 212 crores, which makes it the 24th highest-earning Hindi of all time. ## "The Kerala Story" will look to top "The Kashmir Files" in its lifetime run. TKF scored approx. 252 crores net collection, which is the 16th highest-ever for a Hindi movie.
