AEW World Champion MJF vs. Samoa Joe Set For AEW Worlds End
New York, 22 November - All Elite Wrestling (AEW) today announced that AEW World Champion MJF will defend his title against Samoa Joe at the upcoming AEW Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30, 2023
MJF owed Joe a title shot for their past partnership, but on AEW Dynamite, MJF went back on his word, prompting Adam Cole to intervene. After some reluctance, MJF agreed to defend the title, but Joe turned down the offer, wanting to face a 100% MJF. The match is now set for AEW Worlds End.
MJF has been on a dominant run since capturing the AEW World Title, defeating a string of top contenders along the way. Samoa Joe, a former two-time Ring of Honor World Champion and two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, is one of the most respected and feared competitors in professional wrestling.
This highly anticipated match will be the main event of AEW Worlds End, which will take place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Long Island. The event will also feature a number of other high-profile matches, including a Championship Final of the inaugural AEW Continental Classic.
Joe wants to make sure that MJF is a man of his word!
