Ken Shamrock Returns To WWE: Legend Reconnects For Merchandise Venture After Memorable Career Stints In WWE And TNA
Stamford, December 5 - Ken Shamrock has rekindled ties with WWE, this time collaborating with the company to promote and sell his merchandise.
In addition to his storied MMA career in the UFC, Shamrock achieved considerable success in WWE and TNA. Within WWE, he held the titles of former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion and secured victory in the prestigious King of the Ring tournament in 1998. His tenure in TNA saw him clinch the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Shamrock was associated with WWE from 1997 to 1999 and had intermittent stints with TNA in 2002 and 2004.
Noteworthy matches with iconic figures like The Rock and a Lion’s Den match against Owen Hart at SummerSlam 1998, resembling the Fight Pit, contributed to Shamrock's memorable WWE moments. Despite his absence from WWE TV since departing in 1999, Shamrock made headlines when The Rock inducted him into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame a few years ago.
In the past, Shamrock has expressed his willingness to collaborate with WWE, even extending offers in 2018 with hopes of making a return. The recent release of several Shamrock-themed t-shirts on WWE Shop suggests that both parties have reached a new agreement, likely under the banner of a Legends deal.
