Pat McAfee Comments On What It's Like To Be In The Ring With The Rock

Denver, 16 September - The one and only Pat McAfee showed up and surprised everyone in Denver last night on SmackDown.

Back in February 2019, McAfee signed a contract with WWE, and his in-ring debut came against Adam Cole at TakeOver XXX. Adam Cole is no longer with the company as he now stars in AEW. McAfee then moved to the SmackDown brand, serving as a color commentator alongside Michael Cole, and he quickly became the fan favorite.



He has also wrestled some good matches; one of his matches came against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38. Then he also feuded with Baron Corbin. On the September 15 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, McAfee was seen in the ring with none other than "The Greatest Of All-Time," The Rock.

After the show was finished, McAfee spoke with Kayla Braxton about the surprise appearance. He has been in the ring with a lot of great superstars since fans had him in WWE, but a segment with The Rock was nostalgic.

"I am a good burger and a fry flipper if I had to do it. And I understand completely because he does look fantastic. It's just the inside of him that's terrible. And you can't really change that. But, yeah, the Rock and I got a chance to chat earlier today on my show. He was electrifying. And then tonight, to get to be in the ring, whenever all of it happens, I got to see all of it happen. There the spine buster, the people's elbow, the eyebrow raise, the it doesn't matter.

Him starting a UR and chant and could have gone for, like two. I was in there for the whole thing front-row seat. My entire life has been my dream destination, and everything that I've been able to do here, I'm incredibly lucky for, thankful for, grateful for, and I try to enjoy. I definitely did that tonight. And, yeah, it's a dream being back, for sure."
