'Rockstar' By Blackpink's Lisa Scores The Biggest 24-Hour Viewership On YouTube By A K-Pop Act In 2024
Mumbai, June 29 - K-Pop sensation Blackpink's Lisa released her solo music video, Rockstar which has become the biggest 24-hour debut by a K-Pop act in 2024. The music video was released through Lisa's own Lebal Lloud and RCA Records on June 28, 2024.
Rockstar garnered around 33 million views on YouTube which is the highest for any K-Pop act in 2024 in the first 24 hours. The music video currently has 35+ million views on the video streaming platform. Lisa first hinted at Rockstar at the beginning of June when she launched her TikTok account.
Lisa's TikTok account set a Guinness World Record for gaining a million followers in just two hours and 18 minutes. The Thai Rapper and actress then teased the song's title in the second TikTok post with the distant refrain, "Baby, I'm a rock star". TikTok is banned in India.
Lisa marked her debut as a solo artist in September 2021 with her single album LALISA, and the music video for the title track garnered over 73 million views within 24 hours. Rockstar marks her first solo act since signing with RCA Records, in partnership with her own LLOUD company, allowing her to retain ownership of her master recordings, according to World Music Views.
