Box Office: 'Stree 2' Second Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, August 23 - Stree 2 has surpassed 300 crores net at the Indian box office after the sensational hold on its second Friday with collection more or less the same as yesterday. It has become the first film of 2024 to top 300 crores net in Hindi.## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 scored the opening week of over 291 crores net which is the 4th biggest ever in Hindi. Since there is no real competition to the movie at the moment, it is now a one-horse race and begins the second weekend with an estimated collection of around 16.50+ crores net.## The total collection of Stree 2 is around 308 crores net in 9 days, surpassing Kalki 2898 AD's 293+ crores net to become the biggest Hindi grosser of the year. With no competition, the movie can go to 75+ crores net collection in the second weekend. ## Stree 2 will surpass 400 crores net, mostly by the second Tuesday, but at this point, the film's real target is to enter the 500 crores net club which is looking very much achievable since there is no other movie which can dent its chances for, at least, two weeks.## Stay tuned...

The Indian Box Office Grosses 350+ Crore During Independence Day Weekend 2024; 'Stree 2' Leads With 230 Crore Gross

Mumbai, August 19 - The Indian Box Office delivered 350+ crores gross collection during the Independence Day weekend (August 15-18). Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy Stree 2 led the pack with a monstrous 230 crore gross, which is almost 2/3 of the total collection. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 has had the second-biggest opening weekend of 2024 in India after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD which grossed approximately 370 crores in its 4-day first weekend. While Kalki 2898 AD was a multilingual movie, Stree 2 was in just the Hindi language. ## Apart from Stree 2, the other movies failed to capitalise on the big opportunity during the long weekend. Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan was the second biggest domestic grosser with approximately 33.75 crores collection which is underwhelming. The fellow Tamil title Demonte Colony 2, however, performed well with approximately 17.75 crores gross against minimum expectations.## Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham-fronted Vedaa, which were expected to do well during the Holiday period, failed without making much noise with approximately 17 crores gross and 16.50 crores gross domestic collection, respectively. ## The other two films which failed miserably at the box office are the Telugu movies, Double iSmart and Mr. Bachchan which grossed approximately 13.75 crores and 9.50 crores, respectively. Box Office: 'Stree 2' Scored Sensational First Weekend Worldwide

Mumbai, August 19 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy blockbuster Stree 2 has had a sensational extended first weekend at the worldwide box office which saw it crossing all but Fighter to already become the second biggest Bollywood grosser of 2024 in just 4 days. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the blockbuster sequel is simply unstoppable in India, earning approximately 191.50 crores net (230 crores gross) collection in the first 4 days+previews. With this, it has become the second biggest Bollywood grosser domestically after Fighter which scored approximately 255 crores gross in India. ## Stree 2 will outgross Fighter with its 5th-day collection which will make it the number 1 Bollywood title of the year at the Indian box office. It opens with the introduction of Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Box Office: 'Stree 2' First Sunday Early Estimates; Historic Collection

Mumbai, August 18 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 has a monstrous first 4-day weekend at the domestic box office with close to 200 crores net collection after the historic Sunday total of 50+ crores net. ## The Amar Kaushik's directorial blockbuster has had its second 50+ crores net day and the biggest so far in its short run so far. According to the early estimates, the horror-comedy scored in the range of 55 crores net (+/-), which takes its total collection to around 190 crores in just 4 days.## Despite the heavy competition, Stree 2 has been performing like a solo frontloaded blockbuster and the opening weekend numbers are proof of that. There is a holiday on Monday as well due to Raksha Bandhan, so another solid collection is expected as the movie is looking at 225+ crores net extended 5-day weekend. ## Stree 2 has surpassed Shaitaan (148+ crores net) to become the second biggest Bollywood grosser of the year with today's collection. Aamir Khan In Talks To Headline Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Next Film

Mumbai, August 18 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly in talks to headline Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj's next film and it will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.## According to Aakashavaani, the film in question is confirmed and the official announcement can be expected soon.
