Kochi, May 4 - Director Chidambaram's survival thriller Manjummel Boys has almost completed its journey in theatres but not before setting the box office on fire. A year which will be written in the golden letters for Mollywood, Manjummel Boys emerged the king of it.

Released on February 22, Manjummel Boys emerged as the biggest Malayalam blockbuster of the 21st century and also became the first and only (to date) Mollywood title to surpass 200 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office.



The movie has truly been a sensation since its release not only in the home market, Kerala but also in the rest of India and overseas. Manjummel Boys' performance at the Tamil Nadu box office has not been less than miraculous. It became the first Malayalam movie to top 3 crores gross and to make this target a tiny achievement, it went on to top 60 crores in the state which is a dreamy stuff.
