Box Office: 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' Re-Release Scores A Very Good Opening

Mumbai, January 3 - Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani makes a blockbuster return to the big screen after more than 11 years since its original release back in 2013.

The year 2024 saw a few Bollywood films testing successes at the box office in their re-release run and continuing that momentum, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions re-release YJHD on January 3 and to no surprise, the film opened to packed boards all across.



On its first day of re-opening, the cult classic minted approximately 1.20 crores net collection with more than 65K tickets sold. This is one of the biggest openings for a re-release Bollywood title and with good pre-sales, the movie is set to have a very good weekend total.

In its original run, YJHD minted approximately 188.50 crores net collection and now, it has a chance to enter the 200 crores club after re-issue. The movie also had a limited re-release last year where it minted around 75 lakh net collection.
