Fastest Indian Movies To Reach 500 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

Mumbai, September 11 - It has been a crazy weekend for the Indian cinema which saw superstar Shah Rukh Khan's latest action thriller Jawan making big gains at the worldwide box office. It was the second highest-grossing movie worldwide during the weekend of September 7-10, after the Hollywood action thriller "The Nun 2".

"Jawan" grossed a gigantic 521 crore ($62.70 million) worldwide during its extended first 4-day weekend. With this, the mega-blockbuster movie has become the joint second-fastest Indian and fastest Bollywood film to top 500 crores globally.



Directed by Atlee Kumar, "Jawan" has broken the record of Shah Rukh Khan's own movie, "Pathaan" which topped 500 crores worldwide in 5 days earlier this year. As for the Indian movies, maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2" and "RRR" are the joint fastest to hit this major milestone.

Below is the list of fastest Indian movies to hit the 500 crore club worldwide -

1. Baahubali 2 – 3 Days (510 crore)



2. RRR – 3 Days (570 crore)

3. KGF Chapter 2 – 4 Days (546 crore)

4. Jawan - 4 Days (521 crore)



5. Pathaan - 5 Days (542 crore)

"Jawan", which is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's home production Red Chillies Entertainment, shattered many records during its extended opening weekend. It scored the highest single days on two consecutive days in Hindi as well as in Bollywood. Also, the movie scored the biggest opening weekend ever for a Bollywood movie with approximately 286 crores net (344 crores gross) in all languages.
