Kapil Sharma Refused Vivek Agnihotri's Claim Of 'The Kashmir Files' Cast Not Invited On The Kapil Sharma Show

Mumbai, March 10 - Comedian and actor, Kapil Sharma has refused filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's claim that the cast of his upcoming movie "The Kashmir Files" was denied to promote the film on The Kapil Sharma Show. Agnihotri's remark on Kapil left social media users in anger as they demand the boycott of his show.

Kapil Sharma, however, said that there is no truth about Agnihotri's remark. In a response to a Twitter user who asked why he didn't invite "The Kashmir Files" team on his show, Kapil said, "never believe in one sided story in today's social media world".

"The Kashmir Files", which is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990s due to the Kashmir Insurgency. It stars Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt IAS, Anupam Kher as Pushkar Nath Pandit, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Nivedita Menon, Chinmay Mandlekar as Farooq Ahmed Dar (Bitta Karate), Prakash Belawadi as Dr. Mahesh Kumar, Puneet Issar as DGP Hari Narain, Mrinal Kulkarni, among other in key roles.

Produced by Zee Studios in association with Abhishek Agarwal Arts, Pallavi Joshi, and Vivek Agnihotri, the movie is slated to release on March 11, in theaters worldwide. It has received highly positive responses from special screenings.
