Initially, Roman Reigns had backup from his family unit, The Bloodline. This included The Rock, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa. They tried to interfere on Reigns' behalf, likely through sneak attacks or stopping Cody from winning moments.

There was a surprising turn of events with Jey Uso going against The Bloodline. He countered Jimmy Uso's interference and took both of them out, creating an opening for Cody. The match saw the return of legendary wrestlers John Cena and The Undertaker. They played a role in disrupting Reigns' strategy or momentum.
