Hyderabad, May 30 - Veteran Telugu actor, Nandamuri Balakrishna is under fire for his on-stage behaviour towards actress Anjali as netizens are slamming the actor for showing disrespect towards her.

From the promotional event of Vishwak Sen's Gangs of Godavari, a video is going viral on social media in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is seen pushing actress Anjali, apparently after she couldn't hear him. The actress couldn't do anything but laugh over the incident.



NBK was invited as the chief guest of the event. Anjali's co-star Neha, who was also present at the event, looked shocked by Balakrishna's actions. Social media users, including filmmaker Hansal Mehta, lash out at the actor.

One of the X users said, "It's really disappointing how women actors have to tolerate such rude behaviour, even from someone in a position in a position of authority like a lawmaker. The crowd's reaction says a lot about the culture".

Another user wrote, "Sadly the whole 'misogynist' hero wooing and harassing the heroine was a big part of Indian cinema and more so in South industry (not all). This has conditioned the public that such acts are to be hooted on and cheered. And the whole making a hero 'god' culture adds to that".
