Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh's Spy Universe Film 'Alpha' Release Date Locked

Mumbai, October 4 - Yash Raj Film's blockbuster Spy Universe is getting its first solo female-led movie, titled Alpha. The movie was officially announced earlier this year with Alia Bhatt stepping into the world of spies with Sharvari Wagh.

As the shoot of Alpha is happening at a brisk pace, YRF has locked one of the biggest release dates of this much-anticipated blockbuster. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha will open in theatres on December 25, 2025, on the occasion of the Christmas festival.



Alpha marks a significant shift for the action-packed YRF's Spy Universe series, which has previously centred on male protagonists. In the movie, Alia Bhatt plays the role of a RAW agent with Sharvari Wagh. It will also reportedly feature Hrithik Roshan along with Anil Kapoor.

Alpha is the 7th movie in YRF Spy Universe and it will be released after the upcoming War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. War 2 is scheduled to hit the big screens on August 14, 2025. The Spy Universe also has Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Pathaan 2 as well as Tiger vs Pathaan in the pipeline.
