Box Office: 'Deadpool and Wolverine' Beats 'Barbie' Domestically

Los Angeles, October 21 - Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Wolverine continues to climb higher and higher at the box office and with its blockbuster run coming to an end, the movie made a final push to beat last year's mega-blockbuster Barbie domestically (North America).

Deadpool & Wolverine grossed a solid $680K in its 13th weekend to push its total cume to $636.3 million at the domestic box office, officially beating Barbie's full run of $636.2 million. With this, it has become the 12th highest-grossing movie ever in North America.



As said, the movie is in its last leg of the theatrical run and will finish as the 12th biggest grosser in the home market. It needs another $16 million to beat Inside Out 2 ($653 million) to become the 11th biggest grosser which is unlikely in its original run.

Deadpool 3 has grossed $699.4 million at the overseas box office for a worldwide cume of $1.335 billion. In India, the movie has minted a huge $20 million as one of the highest-grossing foreign movies here.

It is the highest-grossing R-rated movie and the 20th highest-grossing overall of all time at the worldwide box office, ahead of Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($1.332 billion) and behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 ($1.342 billion).
