Box Office: 'Salaar' Becomes 5th Film of Prabhas To Hit 100 Crore Net Collection In Hindi

Mumbai, December 30 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire is going strong, nearing 500 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. It will be Prabhas' third 500 crore grosser, and first since "Baahubali 2" in 2017.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar is also all set to enter the 100 crores net club in the dubbed Hindi version with today's collection, and this is an excellent achievement for the movie as it came in a clash with an outright Bollywood movie like Dunki, featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani.



Salaar has minted approximately 99 crores net collection in Hindi in its first 8 days, and it has topped 100 crores at the time of writing this piece. It has become the 5th movie of Prabhas to reach this milestone, and second of the year after Adipurush.

Prabhas is the only actor of South Indian origin to have 5 films in the 100 crores net club in Hindi, as no other actor has more than one. Salaar is the 9th South Indian film (including "Adipurush") to hit the box office century in Hindi. Allu Arjun ("Pushpa - The Rise"), Jr. NTR and Ram Charan ("RRR"), Rajinikanth ("2.0"), and Yash ("KGF 2") are other actors in this list.

Salaar would have scored much better than its current total had it released solo. The clash with Dunki has reduced it to fewer shows but still, it has done very well, especially in mass pockets. The film will continue to score and is expected to finish over 150+ crores net in Hindi in its lifetime run.
