Cody Rhodes Confirms Brandi Rhodes' WrestleMania Appearance, Defends Her After AEW Departure
Cody Rhodes recently confirmed on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani that his wife, Brandi Rhodes, will be at WrestleMania 40. He also expressed his frustration over how she was treated following their departure from AEW.
While not specifying her exact role at WrestleMania, Cody made it clear her presence will be significant. He acknowledged the physical risks of wrestling but emphasized his desire to see Brandi recognized for her contributions.
"That woman got hugely scapegoated and hugely…just misinformation," Cody said about Brandi's treatment after leaving AEW. He pointed the finger at unnamed individuals involved, suggesting they spread negativity.
He praised Brandi's work ethic and loyalty, particularly highlighting her efforts to advocate for other wrestlers during difficult times within AEW.
"There's so many people working for AEW, she was the one who said their name and wanted to keep them in the fold when something went wrong," Cody said.
He expressed his anger at how she was treated in general after their departure, emphasizing that it wasn't directed at any specific company.
The interview revealed a strong emotional connection between Cody and Brandi. He described how much her support means to him, stating, "I couldn't do this without her."
