Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej's 'Bro' Scores Huge First Day At The Worldwide Box Office
Hyderabad, July 29 - Power star Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej's fantasy comedy-drama film "Bro" has taken a huge start at the worldwide box office, grossing approx. 44 crores. Pawan Kalyan is playing a supporting role in the movie still he pulled up a massive crowd in cinemas on the opening day.
Directed by Samuthirakani, "Bro" grossed a huge approx. 32 crores gross (excl. hires), including approx. 23.60 crores share collection in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Pawan Kalyan's last two movies, "Bheemla Nayank" and "Vakeel Saab" had scored an opening day of approx. 38 crores 45 crores, respetivaly.
The business of "Bro" got affected by heavy rains in the States, still, it is one of the biggest openings for PSPK and by far the biggest ever for Sai Dharam Tej.
The all-India opening day gross collection of "Bro" is approx. 35 crores, which is the 3rd biggest for a Telugu movie in 2023 after "Adipurush" and "Veera Simha Reddy". Overseas, "Bro" scored approx. 8.50 crores, pushing the worldwide opening day of the movie to approx. 43.70 crores.
"Bro" will need to show a strong hold over the weekend and beyond to achieve the break-even target which is around 100 crores. The movie was able to fetch strong pre-release theatrical business and the makers are confident it will recover the total investment.
