Kohli Becomes First Indian Captain To Reach 4000 Runs In Test Cricket As Captain
Virat Kohli has became first Indian to reach 4000 runs as captain in Test cricket. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the second in the list with 3454 runs as captain in Test.
Virat Kohli touched this landmark during the fourth Test against England at Southampton on Sunday, September 2. Though, his brilliant knock of 58 went in vain as India lost the match by 60-runs.
He took only 39 Tests to reach the milestone. He is averaging over 66 with 16 hundreds, nine fifties with a highest score of 243 which he got last year in New Delhi as captain.
He has also become the fastest to the landmark, needing just 65 innings in 39 Test matches, beating Brian Lara who took 71 innings and 40 matches.
