Kuldeep, Root Shines In ICC ODI Rankings
India's left arm wrist spinner, Kuldeep Yadav breaks into top 10 for the first time in ICC ODI bowling rankings.
He took 9 wickets in 3-match series against England where he registered best figures of 6 for 25 (In the first match) for any left-arm spinner.
That helped him to move eight spots to six with 684 points.
On the other hand, the highest run-getter from the 3-match series, England's Joe Root reached his career-best second spot with 918 points.
His fellow teammates Jason Roy and skipper Eion Morgan also moved up to 19th and 22nd spots respectively.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli lost first bilateral series under his captaincy but that couldn't stop him to achieve career-best 911 points.
He is currently the No.1 batsman and is 93 points ahead of the second-placed Joe Root. Both Root and Kohli was the highest run-getter in the ODI series with 216 and 191 runs respectively.
In bowlers ranking, India's pacer Jasprit Bumrah retained his No.1 spot despite not been able to play a single match against England due to injury.
Kuldeep's spin twin partner, Yuzvendra Chahal didn't look best of his touch and that resulted in him slip two spots to ten.
