Kuldeeps 5-fer restrict England to 159

England were 106 for 2 after 13 overs and looking to score big but Kuldeep Yadav's 5 for 24 restricted them on 159 in 1st T20I at Old Trafford.

In 1st of three matches, India had won the toss and opted to field first. England got a blitzing start as they reached their fifty in just 5 overs.

Umesh Yadav provided the first breakthrough after he bowled out Jason Roy on the last ball of the 5th over. Roy scored 30 off 20 balls.

Jos Buttler continued his fine form in limited overs and scored another half-century. England was 106 for 2 after 13 overs but Kuldeep changed the game in space of just 6 balls. He dismissed Eoin Morgan, Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in the 14th over of the innings and left England with 109 for 5 after 14. Buttler made 69 off 46 balls.

David Willey played a quickfire cameo of 29* off 15 balls in the end and helped England to reach 159 for 8.

Apart from Kuldeep, Umesh Yadav also bowled well and finished his spell with 4-0-21-2.

India need 160 to win this 1st T20I and go 1-0 in the 3-match series.
