PM Narendra Modi Thanks US President Biden For Help to Fight COVID-19
New Delhi, April 26, 2021: India's Prime Minister Modi had a telephone conversation on Monday with the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden about the COVID-19 situation in their respective countries.
Right Now, India is going through a second wave crisis of coronavirus, so India is doing its efforts to contain this.
President Biden conveyed solidarity with India and affirmed that the United States was determined to support India's efforts by quickly deploying resources such as therapeutics, ventilators, and identifying sources of raw materials to be made available for the manufacture of Covishield vaccines.
On this gesture of Mr. Biden, PM Narendra Modi conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the offer of assistance and support from the Government of the USA.
PM Modi took to Twitter and shared, "Had a fruitful conversation with Joe Biden today. We discussed the evolving COVID situation in both countries in detail. I thanked President Biden for the support being provided by the United States to India."
He added, "My discussion with Joe Biden also underscored the importance of smooth and efficient supply chains of vaccine raw materials and medicines. India-US healthcare partnership can address the global challenge of COVID-19."
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Japan PM Yoshihide Suga on phone.
He tweeted, " We reviewed the progress in various ongoing bilateral initiatives. We also discussed our cooperation in diverse areas including high technology, skill development, and in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic together."
In the last 24 hours, India had more than 3.50 lakh new coronavirus cases so wear masks and stay safe.
