Rajinikanth Resumes Shoot For Sun Pictures' 'Annaatthe'

Rajinikanth's much-awaited, "Annaatthe" is back on track after a long pause due to the covid-19 pandemic. The makers of the film posted a photo of director Siva and Rajinikanth from the sets of the film.

ICYDK, in December last year, the shooting Annaatthe had come to a pause after crew members tested positive for the covid-19. Though 'Thalaivaa' tested negative, he spent a few days in the hospital and under the observation of doctors, before heading to Chennai for rest. Considering his health, the superstar also canceled his entry into politics.

Annaatthe is expected to be a family action drama directed by Siva and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures while D Imman, with whom Siva worked in Viswasam, is the music composer.

The movie has an ensemble cast comprising names like Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Meena, and Soori in key roles.

Annaatthe is scheduled to release on 4 November 2021, on the occasion of Diwali.
