India's stand-in captain Rohit Sharma's dream runs continued in the Asia Cup 2018 as he registered his 19th ODI century in a super 4 match against Pakistan on Sunday, September 23.
It was Rohit Sharma's third back to back 50+ score in this Asia Cup. During his 19th century, he became third fastest Indian batsman to reach 7000 runs ODIs in terms of innings.
He took only 181 innings to reach the milestone. Before him, only Virat Kohli (161) and Sourav Ganguly (174) took fewer innings to get those runs. Overall Sharma is 5th on the list.
India booked their place in the final of the Asia Cup 2018 after beating Pakistan yesterday by 8-wickets. Shikhar Dhawan 114 and Rohit Sharma 111* scored the century as India chase the target down comprehensively. India is yet to defeat in this Asia Cup.
