Rohit lifted India to a huge total of 208

Rohit Sharma missed out his 3rd T20I century but his 97 off 61 balls helped India to reach to a huge total of 208 runs in the 1st T20 match against Ireland in Dublin.

Ireland had won the toss and opted India to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan (74 off 45 balls) made most of it and put 160 runs partnership in 96 balls for the first wicket.

Rohit had a chance to score his 3rd-century in T20I but he was bowled out by Peter Chase on 97 on the 3rd ball of the last over.

Peter Chase was the most successful bowler for Ireland. He finished his spell with 4 for 35 in 4 overs. He got 3 wickets (Rohit, Virat and Dhoni) in last over.

None of the other bowlers could do much and went for plenty of runs. Ireland needs to chase down 209 runs to win 1st of 2 matches in 120 balls.
