Vinesh Phogat Creates History

It was a historic day yesterday for India in 18th Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia, 2018.

Woman Wrestler, Vinesh Phogat created history by becoming the first Indian woman Wrestler to win Gold Medal in Asian Games.

Vinesh Phogat defeated Japan's Yuki Irie in the Women's Freestyle 50 kg gold medal match. She won the final by 6-2 to grab the second Gold for India in this Asian Games.

Shooters Deepak Kumar and Lakshay won silver medals in the men's 10m Air Rifle and trap events, respectively. Sepak Takraw assured India of another medal after the men's Regu team secured a semi-final berth.
