Virat Kohli Goes Past Rohit Sharma To Become Leading Run-Getter In T20Is

Yet another normal day for Virat Kohli at the office who overtakes his dupty Rohit Sharma to become the leading run-getter in T20 internationals.

In the second T20I against South Africa at Mohali, the Indian captain played yet another defining knock in the run chase. His record 22nd fifty helped India to win by 7-wickets.

Kohli needed 53 runs to displace Rohit Sharma as the highest runs scorer in the shortest format of the game. He got more than as he made unbeaten 72 off 52 balls and secured a comfortbale win for his side.

He doesn't stop here as he reached to his record 22nd half-century in this format of the game. And here also, he left behind Rohit Sharma who has 21 fiftes.

The 3rd and final T20I will be played on Sunday, September at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The first match was washed out without a ball being bowled.
