Virat Kohli becomes the fastest batsman to reach 2000 T20I runs
Indian skipper Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to complete 2000 T20I runs. He reached this milestone when he was on 8 in the 1st T20I against England on Tuesday, July 3.
Kohli has now scored 2012 runs. He took only 56 innings to reach this. He also became the 4th batsman after Martin Guptill (2271*), Brandon McCullum (2140) and Shoaib Malik (2039*) to complete 2000 runs in T20 Internationals.
Virat Kohli has scored 18 half centuries so far in T20I and has a strike rate of 136.31. He is now just 27 runs short from 3rd placed Shoaib Malik.
Kohli also became second Indian (Male/Female) after women's team skipper Mithali Raj to reach this feat.
