Good Newwz to re-release in Sri Lanka on July 2

With the cinemas re-opening up slowly across the globe, the blockbuster Hindi movie of 2019, Good Newwz has been re-released in Sri Lanka on July 2 (Today). Earlier today, the PVR cinemas announced that its re-opening 9 screen multiplex in Colombo, Sri Lanka.## Dharma Productions that co-produced Good News, took to its official Twitter handle and shared the news. The production house wrote, "Sri Lanka, get ready for some #GoodNewwz! Multiplex Association of India writes to Ministry of Home Affairs seeking re-opening of cinemas

The Multiplex Association of India disappointed as the cinemas and multiplexes continue to remain in prohibited activities under the central government's Unlock 2.0 guidelines despite knowing the fact that most of the things are being opened up. ## On Thursday, July 2, the association writes to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) seeking the re-opening of cinemas. It stated that the reopening of cinemas can set an example of how social distancing guidelines can be exercised in a planned manner. It also gave an example of some of the countries that have opened up cinemas with the implementation of the highest degree of safety protocols. ## The Association also highlights that the multiplexes provide more than 200000 employment directly. Being the backbone of the film industry and generates 60% of revenues of the film business, the Association stressed out how the lockdown has brought the industry at a standstill with losses mounting every passing day. ## While the uncertainty over re-opening of cinemas remains to continue, the Association believes that even the theaters re-open now, it may take 3-6 months before things return anywhere close to normalcy. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations as the organization has invited 819 new artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures to join the organization. ## Every year, some of the Indian celebrities also get an invitation to join the ceremony. This year, Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt are two of the few Indians who have been invited to become new members. The Academy has recognized Hrithik Roshan for his work in Super 30 and Jodha Akbar while Alia Bhatt received an invitation for her brilliant work in Raazi and Gully Boy. ## "The Academy is delighted to welcome these distinguished fellow travelers in the motion picture arts and sciences. It is a coming-of-age romantic drama film which is directed by Mukesh Chhabra who made his directorial debut with this film. ## 'Dil Bechara' was earlier titled 'Kizie Aur Manny' but was changed at the last moment. The story of the film revolves around the two cancer patients who fall in love with each other. Along with Sushant Singh Rajput, the movie also stars debutante Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan. It is produced by Fox Star Studios. ## After the death of Sushant, his fans wanted 'Dil Bechara' to release in the theaters instead of the OTT release to which fans made a trend #DilBecharaInTheaters on social media. "It is not new", Sushmita Sen gives her opinion on nepotism

That competitiveness - or now everybody says this word 'nepotism' - is a truth you have known for as long as the industry has existed. With awareness, social, and digital space, it has increased thousands of folds". ## The actress further believes that blaming one person or pointing fingers is not the right thing to do, "People should not, in any profession, be destructive or envious of other people’s success. You may not always applaud it but to be envious generates this kind of vicious circle where people just (think) ‘he thought bad of me now wait till his release, I will think bad of him".## "It is a vicious circle that continues and nobody ends up gaining, everybody losses. If it needs to change, then all of us need to take responsibility, not one person," Sushmita Sen further added.## On the work front, Sushmita Sen has been getting overwhelming response for her role in Ram Madhvani’s crime drama web series streaming on Hotstar.
