Salman Khan Locks His Next Film After 'Sikandar'

Mumbai, May 17 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has locked his next film after the recently released Sikandar, which underperformed at the box office. The actor has been in talks with multiple directors, including Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar, but he has prioritised Apoorva Lakhia's army-based film. ## There have been reports that Salma and Apoorva will team up for the first time for a film about the Galwan Valley clash between India and China. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is based on the novel India's Most Fearless 3, set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley Conflict. ## "Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. It will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70 days. It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full-fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by 3 other actors from the younger generation", says that report.## Apart from Lakhiya, Salman Khan is also discussing a film with director Kabir Khan, who previously collaborated with the Sultan star for Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight (2017). Mumbai, May 14 - In another fresh turn of events, Maddock Films' romantic comedy drama Bhool Chuk Maaf is getting back to the theatrical release. The movie is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios.## Over the last week, the film has been in the news for a couple of reasons. On May 8, the makers announced the Bhool Chuk Maaf's theatrical release, which was May 10, was called off amid the India and Pakistan border tensions and was rescheduled to a direct digital release on Prime Video on May 16. ## However, the decision to send the movie directly on digital invited the legal battle as PVR-Inox sued Maddock, seeking 60 crore in damages for breach of contract and requesting a stay on the film's digital release. Later, the Bombay High Court granted major relief to the theatre chain and stopped the OTT release of the movie. ## Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is back on track for a theatrical release. It is said that the movie will now hit the big screens on May 23. Mumbai, May 10 - National multiplex theatre chain, PVRINOX, has reportedly sued producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films for cancelling the theatrical release date of its romantic comedy drama Bhool Chuk Maaf at the last minute. ## A day before the film's release on May 9, Maddock Films and Amazon Prime issued a statement stating that the theatrical release of Bhool Chuk Maaf was called off aftermath of the ongoing border conflict between India and Pakistan. The studio announced that the movie would now be released directly on Prime Video on May 9. ## According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, PVR Inox has decided to take legal action against the production house for damages of Rs. 60 crores for non-playability of the movie. While Maddock stated the conflict as the reason behind the decision, the theatre alleged that the decision was taken due to poor advance booking. ## "PVR has submitted their case in the Bombay High Court. The matter became serious as all the contracts were signed, and then suddenly Maddock backed off.
