BY SUNIT JANGIR
Mumbai, May 12 - Jio Studios is on a roll with back-to-back films. After testing the monstrous successes of Dhurandhar films along with the Marathi blockbuster Raja Shivaji as a producer in the last six months, the studio has now acquired the theatrical rights of superstar Ram Charan's Peddi. Jio Studios will be releasing Hindi and Telugu versions of Peddi across North India. The film is scheduled to release on June 4, and with not much competition around that time, the film is expected to get a wide release in the Hindi market. There is decent buzz for the film, and the makers are looking to cash in on the opportunity of a mostly open window. The trailer was earlier expected to be dropped on May 16 at an event in Bhopal, but the makers altered the plans. Instead, a musical event has been planned in Bhopal, though the date has not been revealed yet. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu in pivotal roles. The pan-India entertainer is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
