250 Top-Rated Indian Movies of All-Time On IMDb

Mumbai, December 28 - IMDb has been an excellent source for movie buffs to check the film's credibility by knowing their ratings which are determined by intellectual audience.

Recently, IMDb unveiled the updated list of 250 top-rated Indian movies of all time, and surprisingly, only one film of 2023 could make it to the top 20. Vikrant Massey-starrer 12th Fail which emerged as a surprise box office hit, took the 20th spot on the list.



Rakshit Shetty's heartwarming tale between a man and a dog, 777 Charlie, and R Madhavan directed and fronted biopic drama Rocketry: The Nambi Effect could make it to the top 20 from the movies released in 2022.

Meanwhile, the co-production of India and Japan, Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama (1993) which is considered a pinnacle for the anime film, is the top-rated Indian film of all-time on IMDb, followed by Kamal Haasan's cult classic Nayakan (1987), and director Hrishikesh Mukherjee's cult comedy Gol Maal (1979) at number 2 and 3, respectively.

Among the most successful commercial films in recent times, are Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur's "Sita Ramam" (2022) at number 26, "Vikram" (2022) at 64, and "Drishyam 2" (2022) at 86. Films like "Swades" (2004) at 69, "Munna Bhai MBBS" (2003) at 74, "Chak De! India (2007) at 77, and"Sholey" (1975) at 91, are also among the top 100 most-rated films.
