Raazi - Arguably the best spy thriller movie of all time, "Raazi" is a milestone film in Alia Bhatt's career. The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka's 2008 novel Calling Sehmat, a true account of an Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent who, upon her father's request, is married into a family of military officials in Pakistan to relay information to India, prior to the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, "Raazi" is a rare spy thriller film that revolves around a woman spy. Alia Bhatt delivered the act to remember for a long long time. It is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video and can be bought on Apple TV.
Mimi - One of the finest and brilliantly executed films to come during the covid-19 pandemic, "Mimi", starring Kriti Sanon in the title role, is centered around a young woman who opts to be a surrogate mother for a foreign couple. The movie is filled with emotions and laughter, which makes it a must-watch. It was released in July 2021 and is available to watch on Netflix and Jio Cinema.
Queen - A dramedy, starring Kangana Ranaut, is touted to be one of the finest movies of all time which revolves around a female character. The film follows the story of Rani Mehra, a diffident Punjabi girl from New Delhi who embarks on her honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam by herself after her fiancé calls off their wedding. At the 62nd National Film Awards ceremony, the film won the Best Hindi Film and Best Actress awards. The movie is available to stream on Netflix, Voot, and Jio Cinema while you can also buy it on Google Play Store, YouTube, and Apple TV.
Kahaani - A pregnant woman's search for her missing husband takes her from London to Kolkata, but everyone she questions denies having ever met him. This Vidya Balan-fronted is considered as one of the best thrillers ever made that makes everyone on the edge of their seats. This movie further established Vidya Balan as an actress who can run an entire movie on her soldiers. The movie had won three National Awards and is currently available to watch on Disney+Hotstar and Jio Cinema.
English Vinglish - The movie shows the struggle of a housewife, who tries to learn English in order to gain self-respect. The film marked the comeback of late Sridevi and it is one of the most relatable movies in today's time. It is directed by Gauri Shinde can be watched on multiple OTT platforms including Jio Cinema and ZEE5.
