AEW Collision Results, October 14, 2023: Highlights, Commentary, Live Update, Winners
Here is the live coverage for this week's edition of AEW Collision which is set to take place on October 14, 2023, at the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH.
AEW Collision starts at 8 PM ET. This is 5 PM PT, 1 AM BST, and 8 AM AEST. The show will run for two hours, so it will end at 10 PM ET.
AEW Collision October 14, 2023: Play-By-Play Results
Adam Copeland enters with his music, addressing Christian's comments. Christian, with Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne, politely asks Adam to leave, mentioning he's in the main event. Christian wants a one-on-one fight with Bryan Danielson. Bryan accepts and confirms Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne are barred.
Ricky Starks interrupts, wanting respect, especially for Christian. FTR joins, seeking a rematch. Bryan suggests a match, sparking a brawl in the ring. The faces dominate, setting the stage for the showdown.
ROH World TV Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Willie Mack
The match starts with Joe taking Willie down. After a commercial break, Joe chops Willie and goes for a corner elbow but misses. Willie hits a cannonball and gets a near fall. Joe hits a powerslam, but Mack kicks out. Mack delivers a stunner, but Joe ultimately wins with a muscle buster.
WINNER: Samoa Joe
Juice Robinson vs. Christopher Daniels
The bell rings and the match starts off with Juice evading Daniels, he gets back to the ring. Daniels targets Juice's arm with an arm drag. Juice sends Daniels out of the ring, where The Gunns attack him. Daniels returns but is knocked down by Juice.
After a break,
Robinson takes down Daniels with a senton and goes for a cover but no win there. Daniels responds with a Northern Lights suplex and an STO. He goes for another cover, but he doesn't get the win. Robinson counters Daniels' Angels Wings, and Juice finishes the match with a cannonball and a pin.
WINNER: Juice Robinson
ay White gives Juice Robinson a ring, and Juice uses it to punch Daniels, vowing to win the battle royale and take MJF's ring. Jay White takes responsibility for their actions and aims to take everything from MJF.
A video shows Dustin Rhodes gearing up to win the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale and pursue the AEW World Championship.
After the break,
Lexi interviews Nick Wayne, who promises to explain his betrayal of Allin on Wednesday.
Singles Match: Kyle Fletcher vs. Boulder
The match starts with Boulder throwing Fletcher around, but Fletcher counters by tossing Boulder out of the ring. Boulder strikes back with a suicide dive. Back in the ring, Boulder takes control in the corner.
However, Fletcher stops his top rope climb with a powerbomb and follows up with a kick to the back of Boulder's head. Fletcher secures the win by locking in a dragon sleeper, causing Boulder to tap out.
WINNER: Kyle Fletcher
In an interview with The Acclaimed, Billy Gunn mentions their 48-day Trios Championship reign. Caster hopes MJF recognizes their hard work but makes a crude comment. Renee leaves, visibly upset.
Daddy Magic's group arrives, and Angelo insults The Acclaimed. Menard challenges them to a title match, and Caster accepts.
TBS Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Skye Blue
Statlander dominates early, with a powerful bodyslam on Blue. Blue attempts a hurricanrana, but Statlander slams her once more.
After the break, Blue counters with a strong kick to Statlander's face. Kris sweeps her leg and follows with a senton. She targets Skye in the corner and nearly secures a pinfall. Skye rallies with a tornado DDT but can't secure the win.
Skye attempts a top-rope move, but Statlander powerbombs her. Skye tries a cross body, but Statlander catches and slams her. Kris finishes with the Saturday Night Fever for the win.
WINNER: Kris Statlander
Singles Match: Keith Lee vs. Turbo Floyd
The match starts with Floyd kicking Lee, but Lee responds with a back body drop and a powerful pounce, eventually finishing Floyd off with a devastating powerbomb for the win.
WINNER: Keith Lee
TNT Championship: Christian Cage (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
The match starts with Cage attempting a submission on Bryan, who escapes by exiting the ring. After a break, Bryan applies a submission, but Cage retreats outside. Bryan sends Cage back in, delivers a dropkick, and tosses him inside.
Cage takes control, targeting Bryan's arm. Bryan recovers, landing a diving headbutt after missing one earlier.
Both exchange strikes, and Bryan delivers kicks until Cage rolls out. Bryan performs a suicide dive and a missile dropkick for a near fall. He follows up with a corner dropkick, but Cage pokes his eye and hits a frog splash, getting a near fall.
Bryan attempts the Busaiku knee, but Cage counters with a spear and the Unprettier for another near fall. Bryan resumes with multiple stomps, but Cage kicks out. Bryan goes for the Lebelle lock, but Cage reaches the ropes. Bryan tries again in the center, but Big Bill distracts the ref, allowing Starks to strike Bryan with the title belt. Cage pins Bryan for the win.
WINNER: Christian Cage
After the match, they attack Bryan. FTR and Adam Copeland rush to the rescue. FTR toss Bill out of the ring, while Bill protects Starks. Copeland sends Luchasaurus out with a spear and tackles Wayne.
