A Documentary On SS Rajamouli To Premiere In August 2024

Hyderabad, July 6 - A biographical documentary Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli on the maverick Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli is set to be premiered on August 2, 2024, on Netflix.

Presented by Anupama Chopra, the documentary will highlight SS Rajamouli's influence on Indian and international cinema, with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. Netflix partnered with Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios for the same.



Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli documentary will feature insights on S.S. Rajamouli from renowned filmmakers like James Cameron, Joe Russo, and Karan Johar, as well as close friends and colleagues such as Prabhas, Jr NTR, Rana Daggubati, and Ram Charan.

Monika Shergill, Vice-President Content at Netflix India, called Rajamouli "an icon whose visionary storytelling and cinematic brilliance has built deep fandom and put Indian cinema on the global map. His adventurous spirit and mastery of fantasy and epic genres have left an indelible mark on entertainment-loving audiences globally, breathing life into iconic tales from Indian history and culture". Meanwhile, Netflix is also working on a slate of documentaries from across India, which includes the upcoming Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous, an intimate look at the life of the rapper and actor; and cricket documentary, The Greatest Rivalry – India vs Pakistan.
