Aamir Khan Meets Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is currently in Turkey for the shooting of his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha. On his tour for the shooting schedule, the superstar met with Turkish first lady, Emine Erdogan on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Huber Mansion in Istanbul.

Sharing some glimpses from her meeting with Aamir Khan, Emine Erdogan tweeted, "I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it!".

In her other tweet in the Turkish language (translated into English), she congratulated Aamir Khan for addressing issues such as the importance of educating children in line with their individual abilities and how to reveal the essence of disadvantaged children.

Besides the film, the two reportedly discussed everything from handicrafts to food culture and family, etc.

Aamir Khan recently resumed shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha that was supposed to release on Christmas 2021 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been postponed until Christmas 2021. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi (Hindi debut), and Mona Singh.
