Ajay Devgn-Fronted 'Raid 2' Officially Announced With The Release Date
Mumbai, January 6 - Following the massive success of Raid (2018), Bollywood star Ajay Devgn reunites with director Rajkumar Gupta for the sequel and the second instalment of their blockbuster series. The actor will reprise his role of an IRS officer, Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, to be produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios.
The film was officially announced on January 6, Saturday with the first look poster. The shoot of the film has commenced today in Mumbai, and it will be extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan over the next few months. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on November 15, 2024.

The first Raid movie, which was released in 2018, is based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s which distinguished itself from others for being the longest raid in Indian history, lasting 3 days and 2 nights. It was a major box office success with a worldwide gross collection of 154 crores.
