Ajay Devgn Confirms 'Singham Again' Postponement Rumours

Mumbai, June 13 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has confirmed the rumours about the postponement of the highly-anticipated action drama Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor said that the shoot of the movie is still pending and the team is not eyeing the already announced date.

Ajay Devgn was speaking at the trailer launch event of his upcoming romantic thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is scheduled to release on July 5. When asked about the status of Singham 3, the actor said that he doesn't think the movie will be ready by August 15.



"I am not sure (about the release date). The work on the film, which kicked off earlier, has not been completed yet and a few portions of the shoot are pending as well. We do not want to release the film in a hurry because that often ruins it. So when it is read, we will release it then", the actor said.

Even though the makers haven't made the official announcement of Singham 3 postponement, the news was almost confirmed with other movies occupying the Independence Day weekend date. John Abraham's Vedaa and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein have been confirmed to hit screens on August 15, and with this, Allu Arjun's most-awaited Pan India movie, Pushpa 2, which was supposed to release on the same day, has also been postponed as the shoot is pending.

Singham Again is the 5th movie in director Rohit Shetty's cop universe and the third film in the Singham franchise. It also stars Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh as Veer Sooryavanshi and Simmba in the extended cameos, alongside Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff.
