Chennai, December 31 - The anticipation for Ajith Kumar's upcoming Tamil action thriller "Valimai" is sky-high among the fans and industry people. The H Vinoth's directorial, which kicked off in 2019, has been through many challenges posed by the covid-19 pandemic, and finally, it is all set to hit the screens on January 13, 2022, in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.





The original Tamil trailer of "Valimai" was launched on December 30 and it was very well received by one and all. The 3 minutes long glimpses promised the movie to be one of the biggest actioners of the year. The trailer clocked over 11 million views (11.16M) in the first 24-hours, making it the 3rd most viewed Tamil trailer during 24-hours.





Thalapathy Vijay's "Bigil" is the most-watched Tamil trailer of all time with 18.3 million views in the first 24-hours, followed Ajith Kumar's "Viswasam" at the second number with 12.7 million views. Meanwhile "Valimai" trailer becomes the second most liked South Indian trailer with 1.32 million likes. "Bigil" is again at number 1 with 1.66 million likes in the first 24-hours.

Valimai is co-produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP and Zee Studios. It also stars Huma Qureshi as the female lead and Kartikeya Gummakonda as the primary antagonist. The actioner is Vinoth's second consecutive movie with Ajith and Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai, which was the official Tamil remake of the Hindi movie Pink.
