Akshay Kumar Begins Shooting For Priyadarshan's 'Bhooth Bangla'; Release Date Locked

Mumbai, December 10 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar reunited with director Priyadarshan for a horror comedy film titled Bhooth Bangla. The movie was recently announced officially with the first look poster. Akshay's Cape of Good Films and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures are producing it.

On December 10, Tuesday, Akshay took to social media and shared a new poster announcing that the shoot of Bhooth Bangla has commenced today. He also confirmed that the film will be released worldwide on 2 April 2026, two weeks after Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal's Love & War with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

It was recently reported that the makers have got back some of the cast of Akshay and Priyadarshan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa for Bhooth Bangla. It is said that the OG Trio of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani have come on board the film to play prominent roles, however, the official confirmation is yet to be made.

As known to all, Bhooth Bangla marks the seventh collaboration of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhaag, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan and Khatta Meetha. They are the most celebrated duo in Indian cinema and are aiming to recreate the same magic again with the upcoming blockbuster.
