Akshay Kumar Reveals The Release Date Of Action-Adventure 'Ram Setu'

Mumbai, December 24 - As Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar gearing up to close the year 2021 on a high note with "Atrangi Re", which has been released on Disney Plus Hotstar on December 24, the "Sooryavanshi" actor will be in the action throughout next year with back-to-back theatrical releases.

He will begin 2022 with the release of the historical drama "Prithviraj", due on January 21. The movie takes Akshay into this genre to a new level as he enters the 1191 era to essay the role of the legendary warrior King Prithviraj Chauhan for this unique historical epic action-drama, directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi.



After "Prithviraj", the Khiladi Kumar has "Bachchan Pandey", and "Raksha Bandhan" as his next theatrical releases on March 4, and August 11, respectively. Meanwhile, during an interview with Variety, Akshay also revealed the release date of "Ram Setu", which is an action-adventure drama, reflecting a significant part of our historical heritage.

"Ram Setu", which is currently on floors under the direction of Abhishek Sharma, will be released on the occasion of Diwali 2022, on October 24, as revealed by Akshay. The movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nushrat Bharucha as the female lead along with Satya Dev, who marks his Hindi debut.

Apart from the aforementioned films, Akshay is also currently shooting for "OMG 2", which is yet to see a release date. The actor is playing Lord Shiva in the film, which he calls a true honor. Meanwhile, as per the latest development, the action star will be leading Ali Abbas Zafar's actioner with Tiger Shroff for the first time. The movie is currently in the early stage and will go on gloors by the end of 2022.
