Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom Pushed To Make Way For Sooryavanshi?
The homogenous response to the Tamil movie, Master at the box office has given a much-needed hope to filmmakers of the big-budgeted movies to release them in theaters. While Telugu and Tamil movies have already started releasing in theaters post lockdown it is the biggest film industry in the country, Bollywood that is still in the waiting mode.
However, the latest development happening in Bollywood is a sure sign of relief for the exhibitor sector as it might be the end of a long dry run for them. According to reports, Bollywood is finally gearing up to get back on track with a series of A-list movies releasing in theaters in the next couple of months.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the filmmakers have been communicated to the top national chains of India - PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, and Carnival about their movie release plans in which movies such as Sooryavanshi, Bell Bottom, 83, Radhe, Sardaar Udham Singh, Radhe Shyam, among others are prominant.
Last year, Reliance Entertainment confirmed that they will release both Sooryavanshi and 83 before March-end. Now, it has been reported that Akshay Kumar starrer cop-drama, Sooryavanshi has been decided to release in theaters on the occasion of Holi while Ranveer Singh's 83 will be releasing 3 weeks after Rohit Shetty directorial.
ICYDK, Akshay Kumar's spy-thriller, Bell Bottom has already been scheduled for a theatrical release on April 2, however, as per the latest development, the Ranjit M Tewari directorial will have to make way for Sooryavanshi as makers won't want to release both the movies in the time period of just a week. It means, Bell Bottom can only be released in June. The official confirmation is yet to be made though.

Among the other movies, Salman Khan's Radhe is almost confirmed for Eid release while John Abraham led, Satyameva Jayate 2 might also arrive in May. Among the Pan India release, the makers of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer, Radhe Shyam are eyeing the Bahubali 2 weekend in the last week of April.
Kriti Sanon's Mimi, which is a remake of the Marathi film, Mala Aai Vhhaychy! has been reported to lead a 19 a-list movie schedule between February and June. Other than the above-mentioned movies, "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui", "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", "Sandeep Aur Pink Faraar", "Haseen Dilruba, "Bunty Aur Babli 2", "Sardaar Udham Singh", "Toofan", "Hungama 2", "Haathi Mere Saathi" (confirmed for 26 March), "Roohi Afzana", "Bad Boy", "Hurdang", "Raavan Leela", and "Shiddat", likely to release during this period of time.
