Akshay Kumar's Marathi Film 'Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat' Shooting Paused?
Mumbai, June 4 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar announced his maiden Marathi movie back in 2022 when he was confirmed to play a cameo appearance in the historical drama Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. The actor was assigned to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Veer Daudle Saat was announced to release on Diwali 2023 but it was reported in September last year that the movie was postponed and since then, there have been no concrete updates about the same.
Now, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film's shoot has been halted due to budget issues. It is said that the producer Vaseem Qureshi is facing budget problems. Around 50% of the shoot has been completed and the remaining shoot will resume once things are sorted out.
Mahesh Manjrekar directs Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat which also stars his son Satya along with Pravin Tarde, Jay Dudhane, Hardik Joshi, Vishal Nikam, Utkarsh Shinde and Virat Madke. It is based on a story about seven legendary warriors in the Maratha Empire who attempt to achieve independence (swaraj) in 1674.
