Akshay Kumar's 'Sarfira' Trailer Becomes Most Viewed Hindi Movie Trailer of 2024

Mumbai, June 29 - After the debacle box office performance of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar returns to the big screens with the drama film Sarfira directed by Tamil director Sudha Kongara. It is the remake of Kongara's Soorarai Pottru which starred Suriya in the lead role.

Sarfira has managed to garner decent buzz after the well-received recently released trailer which has now become the most viewed Hindi trailer in 2024. Launched on June 18, the Sarfira trailer has scored 69 million views in 2 weeks so far, surpassing the views of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (59+ million) to become the number 1 Hindi movie trailer of the year (as of June 29).



In the all-time most-viewed Indian movie trailer list, Sarfira is currently at the 69th spot and it is expected to be among the top 50 in the next few days. The growing viewership of the trailer indicates some anticipation for the movie among the audience and if all goes well, Sarfira may surprise at the box office.

Produced by Abundantia Entertainment, in association with 2D Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films, the movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, and Seema Biswas with Suriya playing a cameo role. It follows a man who sets out to make affordable airlines for low-income people, which several enemies try to impede.

Sarfira is scheduled to be released on July 12.
