Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome 3' Release Postponed To 2025: Report
Mumbai, June 16 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's comedy entertainer Welcome To The Jungle is set to miss Christmas 2024 weekend after it has reportedly been postponed to 2025. The movie is directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala.
According to the report by Hindustan Times, Welcome 3 has been delayed as it has still multiple shooting schedules remaining, additionally, significant VFX work will be required after principal photography concludes which makes it hard to meet its Christmas weekend release.
Welcome 3 is scheduled to release on December 20, alongside Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par and the Hollywood movie, Mufasa: The Lion King. As the Akshay Kumar-led entertainer is likely to be pushed back to 2025, Sitaare Zameen Par remains the only major Bollywood movie to come out on Christmas 2024.
Akshay Kumar returns to the Welcome franchise after missing out on the second film. The actor headlined the original film of the franchise back in 2007 and it was a big box office success. The upcoming movie also features Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, and others.
