Alia Bhatt Joins Gal Gadot In Netflix's Spy Thriller 'Heart of Stone'

Mumbai, March 8 - Riding high on the success of "Gangubai Kathiawadi", Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is now going to make her Hollywood debut with Netflix's international spy thriller, "Heart of Stone".





The 28-year old has joined Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the film, to be directed by Tom Harper from a script by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. It is being produced by Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger along with Mockingbird's Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn and Pilot Wave's Gadot and Jaron Varsano.





While the plot details are being kept under wraps, "Heart of Stone" is said to be a top priority for Netflix following its competitive auction victory for the project in January 2021. The casting of Alia Bhatt is repped by WME, Echo Lake Entertainment, Matrix, and attorney Steve Warren, as per Deadline.





The inclusion of Alia Bhatt, who has become one of the top female artists in India, will surely make "Heart of Stone" appealing to Indian audiences. Knowing the fact that Alia is the only star along with Akshay Kumar whose movies have worked at the box office during the pandemic, Netflix and Skydance couldn't have picked a better actor than her to find its lost ground in India.





Alia Bhatt has been a dominating force ever since she has made her debut in 2012 with coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama "Student of The Year". With her "Gangubai Kathiawadi" soon entring Rs. 100 crores net club, Alia will become the only Indian actress whose two movies, solely driven by her, to cross the box office milestone.
