Allu Arjun Sent For 14-Day Judicial Custody In Sandhya Theater Stampede Case
Hyderabad, December 13 - In a shocking turn of events, superstar Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in a case related to a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad where a woman died. This happened when the premiere of the actor's Pushpa 2 - The Rule was held and was attended by Allu Arjun and family on December 4.
Now, according to the latest media reports, the bail of Allu Arjun has been rejected and sent to 14-dau judicial custody by a local court in Telangana in the case in which the deceased son was also injured and undergoing treatment. The actor has moved the Telangana High Court for urgent relief.
Earlier in the day, a police team, headed by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Arjun's home to take him into custody whilst his family members were present. The authorities escorted him to their vehicle before transporting him to the police station.
Meanwhile, industry people have come in support of the actor, including Bollywood star Varun Dhawan who believes that Allu Arjun was not at all fault in that unfortunate case and that it was the responsibility of the authorities to handle the situation.
It has also been reported that Sandhya Theater owners had resorted to police protection to handle the crowd during the premiere of the film but it wasn't provided.
