Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule' Censor Certificate and Official Runtime
Hyderabad, November 28 - Superstar Allu Arjun-fronted action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has been censored with a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a few minor edits in the dialogue and some replacements.
Directed by Sukumar, the film's official runtime is 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), making it one of the longest Indian films and easily the longest of the year. The theatrical runtime of the film is close to Ranbir Kapoor's Animal which was 3 hours and 21 minutes long and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters at the box office.
As said, the CBFC has asked the makers to make some changes or replace certain words to comply with the U/A certificate. It is revealed in the certificate that the word "r**ndi" has been replaced with Lapaki while a couple of violent scenes have also been modified.
The censor reports are said to be highly positive which has increased the excitement among the audience further. Pushpa 2 is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings and also stars Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles.
The film is scheduled to be released on December 5 in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages.
