Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' Among Others Lead SIIMA Nominations For 2021
Bengaluru, August 17 - The nominations for the 10th edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), scheduled to take place on 10th and 11th September in Bengaluru, have been announced on August 17. It will be the first time that Bengaluru will host the multi-language awards show.
Allu Arjun's trend-setting action drama film, "Pushpa - The Rise" (Telugu) leads this year's SIIMA Awards with 12 nominations while Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Akhanda" (Telugu), Dhanush's "Karnan" (Tamil), Tovino Thomas' "Minnal Murali" (Malayalam), and Darshan's "Roberrt" (Kannada) have been nominated for 10 awards each.
The SIIMA Awards are presented on two different days. On the first day of the Award function, the most promising upcoming South Indian film artists are honored with the Generation Next Award and the second day is reserved for the main SIIMA Awards.

Telugu - Pushpa (12), Akhanda (10), Uppena (8), and Jathi Ratanalu (8)
Tamil - Karnan (10), Doctor (9), Master (7), and Thalaivii (7)
Kannada - Roberrt (10), Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana (8), and Yuvarathnaa (7)
Malayalam - Minnal Murali (10), Kurup (8), Malik (6), and Joji (6)
Interestingly, Suriya's critically acclaimed "Jai Bhim" didn't find a place in top nominations. The Award nominees are selected by an esteemed jury that consists of senior artists and professionals and also the winners are selected by public polling as well.
