Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for COVID-19; admitted in hospital

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has been tested positive for the COVID-19 and being admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday (July 11). Soon after news of him being in hospital broke out, the actor took to social media and confirmed him being found positive.

The megastar confirmed that his family and staff members have undergone the coronavirus test and his son Abhishek has also tested positive. Sir Bachchan also requested people to get themselves tested who came in contact with him in the past 10 days.



He wrote, "T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!"

Abhishek Bachchan tweeted,

Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. 🙏🏽
