Anushka Sharma To Reunite With Varun Dhawan In Atlee's Action Drama Film?

Mumbai, May 31 - It has been more than 4 years since actress Anushka Sharma last appeared on the big screen. Her last film was "Zero" (2018) opposite Shah Rukh Khan, and since then, the "Sultan" actress hasn't signed on for a new film except for "Chakda Xpress" which will release on Netflix later this year.

The actress was supposed to make her comeback with Aamir Khan's "Campeones" remake but is no longer involved with that project after Aamir backed out of it as an actor. Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the talented actress is likely to reunite with Varun Dhawan in filmmaker Atlee Kumar's next.



It was recently reported that Varun Dhawan would be teaming up with Atlee Kumar (producer) for an action drama film. Now, it is reported that Atlee is in advanced talks with Anushka Sharma to play the female lead role and the actress is said to have given her nod to star in the film.

Atlee will be producing this film with Murad Khetani while Tamil director Kalees is reportedly on board to direct it. The makers were previously in talks with Janhvi Kapoor for the female lead role but she reportedly turned it down citing date issues. Anushka is likely to sign the dotted lines soon as the movie is gearing up to start shooting in August this year.

Varun and Anushka previously starred together in "Sui Dhaaga: Made In India" which was released in September 2018. Meanwhile, Varun also has Nitesh Tiwari's "Bawaal", scheduled to release in October this year. After Atlee's movie, the actor will start "Bhediya 2" which was recently announced for 2025 release.
